Back the Back Walk and Launch Concert

Posted by Vicky Brady on 17 June 2019

Ex-RNOH patient Freya Firth-Robson has organised a gruelling 268-mile walk along the Pennine Way and London concert to raise awareness of scoliosis.

At the age of 11 Freya was diagnosed with Scoliosis and a year later underwent corrective surgery here at the RNOH. Freya said “By organising these events, it is a way of me thanking all the people who helped me, both in and out of hospital, on my road to recovery”. Money raised from the event will be going to support The RNOH Charity and the Scoliosis Campaign Fund.

The walk, which begins on 30 June in Edale and lasts 19 days, will be open for anyone to join for a day, week or the entire journey. For more information or to get involved visit www.backthebackwalk.org.

The concert  will be held on Saturday 22 June at St Marylebone Church, London.  With performances from Fiona Firth - Singers 4 all, I Dodici, RNOH Buttercup Singers, Aylesbury High School choir and more, it promises to be a fantastic choral celebration of the Countryside! Tickets are available from www.wegottickets.com/event/468741
