There are numerous ways in which you and your pupils can help the RNOH. Below is a list of popular ideas for school fundraising events. Do feel free to be creative, though, and use your own ideas!
Another option is for your pupils to take part in the RNOH’s flagship fundraising event - our annual Buttercup Walk. This is a 1-mile sponsored walk and family day out – there are stalls, a live band, and a number of rides and activities for children - which is attended by supporters of the RNOH and their families and friends. More information about the Walk can be found on our Buttercup Walk page.
You could also sell our stylish RNOH bracelets at your school. For further information about the bracelets, please contact us.
If you would like, our Community Fundraising Officer can come to your school, discuss fundraising with you, show your pupils our Appeal film, or talk about the hospital’s work during an assembly.
If you have an idea for a fundraising event and would like our help with any aspect of its organisation, or if you have any other questions about school fundraising, please contact the Fundraising Office.
Whatever the size of your company, or the level of support you are able to offer, you can make a tangible difference to the wellbeing of patients at the RNOH. There are many ways in which your company can support us.
Staff fundraising
A sponsored event or initiative organised by your staff will not only benefit our patients – staff fundraising is a great team-building exercise, and has a positive impact on employees’ motivation and confidence.
From inter-office sports tournaments to black-tie dinners, there are endless options open to you. Extensive information about organising your own event can be found in the following pages:
Alternatively, you and your staff could participate in our Buttercup Walk, or in one of our exciting challenge events.
Sponsorship
The RNOH Charity has a range of sponsorship opportunities available to businesses. We understand that every company is different, so we tailor our sponsorship packages according to your requirements. In return for your sponsorship, we can offer you a range of benefits, including PR and publicity at the event. If you would like to discuss corporate sponsorship further, please do contact us.
Company donations
The RNOH Charity gratefully accepts corporate donations of any size. We will always be on hand to answer your queries and ensure that your experience as a corporate donor is a rewarding and exciting one. If you have chosen to fund a specific project, we will provide you with information about the impact of your funding, and, if appropriate, can arrange trips so you can see the benefit of your gift first-hand. Naming opportunities are available for donations of £15,000 and over.
For further information about the various projects for which we are fundraising, please visit our Appeal section. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries about making a corporate donation.
Matched giving
Your business can support your employees’ fundraising activities by offering a matched giving scheme, where you match, or double, any funds raised by your employees for a charitable cause.
Clubs and community groups have always been an important source of support for the RNOH Charity; thanks to their fundraising efforts we have been able to fund numerous projects which have directly improved the wellbeing and comfort of our patients.
Whether you represent a rotary club, the Women’s Institute, a working men’s club, a Scouts or Guides group, or any other organisation, there are hundreds of ways you can help.
For information about planning your own fundraising event, and obtaining fundraising materials with which to promote it, please visit our Organising your own event page. Suggestions about the types of event your group might hold can be found on our Some fundraising ideas page.
